Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or use this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we keep it safe. GrabSafe is a referral service: passing your enquiry to our partner installer so they can quote and carry out your job is the purpose of the service, and this policy is upfront about that.
What we collect
When you email us or ask for a quote, we may collect:
- Your name.
- Your email address and (optionally) phone number.
- Your suburb and install-site address.
- Details about the job: number of rails, wall type, funding (NDIS, My Aged Care, SWEP, TAC, WorkSafe, DVA, or private pay), and photos if you attach them.
- For funded work: your OT's name, your plan manager's details, and the scope of works.
When you visit the website, our hosting and analytics tools automatically collect technical data: your device type, browser, general location (city level), and the pages you view. This data is not used to identify you.
Health-related information
OT scopes of works, mobility or disability details, and photos you email as part of an enquiry are treated as sensitive information. By emailing them to us, you consent to us using them to arrange your job: that means sharing them with the installer who will quote and carry out the work, and with your OT, plan manager or funder as you direct. We use them for nothing else, store them securely, and delete them on request (subject to the record-keeping obligations described below).
Who we share it with
- Our partner installer. Your enquiry details, including any OT scope and photos, are passed to the installer so they can quote and carry out the job. This handover is the core of the service. The installer handles your information under their own privacy obligations, and their contract with us requires them to use it only for your job.
- Your OT, plan manager or funder (NDIS, CHSP, HCP, SWEP, TAC, WorkSafe, DVA), when you've asked for funded work to be quoted or invoiced.
- Our accountant and the ATO, for tax records.
- Our hosting, email and analytics providers, in the normal course of running the website.
- If required by law (subpoena, court order, or regulator).
We do not sell your information, share it for marketing, or pass it to third parties for advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into jobs are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Records of completed referrals are kept for at least seven years, in line with ATO record-keeping requirements. The installer keeps their own job records (quote, invoice, photos, sign-off) under their own obligations.
How we keep it safe
Email and files are stored in password-protected accounts with reputable providers. We don't keep hard copies unless you've given them to us in person. We don't hold payment details: you pay the installer directly.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your enquiry details (outside of tax-record obligations).
Email us at rob@grabsafe.com.au and we'll respond within one week. If you'd like the installer to delete their copy of your details, tell us and we'll pass the request on and confirm.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. GA4 sets cookies in your browser and collects de-identified usage data: pages viewed, device type, approximate (city-level) location, and how you arrived at the site. Google states IP addresses are not logged or stored in Analytics. We don't use Google Ads, remarketing, or advertising cookies on this site.
Google's handling of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your information, please email us first at rob@grabsafe.com.au so we can fix it. If we can't sort it out between us, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We'll update this page if anything changes. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
